Long day of interesting science talks at the OSIRIS/ACE Workshop at Environment Canada in TO, mostly concerned with exciting results from these Canadian satellites currently in orbit measuring the atmosphere. So after all the equations and graphs driving back to the Forest City with Mrs. S. the atmosphere reminded us how beautiful it is with our second night in a row of wild sunsets. The colors did the spectrum of yellow/orange/neon/red highlighting complex cloud patterns. Hardly noticed the drive back as the last 90 min we just watched slack jawed. And then we had some Vietnamese food from Quyuh Nih Restaurant in London, one of our favourites, yum!
The sky was eye-popping. Winds had blown in, shredded SW Ontario's usual piles of puffy clouds into strips, and then blown out, leaving very still cloud shards to be lit up from underneath.
